My Story
I grew up in Hamburg, NY, and went on to attend SUNY Fredonia. My passion for helping others has been a part of me since I was young, and it’s what inspired my love for teaching. I have a younger brother in high school, and I love attending his basketball games. I believe representation is vital in schools, and because I didn’t see much of it in my own education, I chose to teach in Buffalo to help create that change.
What Brings Me Joy
What brings me joy is being outdoors, whether it’s building something with my hands, enjoying a campfire, or taking walks in nature. I love trying new restaurants and exploring new experiences. Spending time with my family is important to me, especially hanging out with my brother Elijah and my boyfriend Andrew.
What I'm Good At
I'm good at connecting with people and building strong relationships with them, whether it's with students, colleagues, or parents. I'm also good at cooking, and my favorite dinner to make is chicken Alfredo.
What the World Needs
The world needs more acceptance. People are often judged too quickly, but everyone deserves an equal opportunity in life. It's essential to stay true to yourself while also embracing and accepting those who may be different.
Why Commons?
I chose Buffalo Commons because of its hands-on, engaging, and rigorous curriculum that truly supports student growth. Everyone at Buffalo Commons shares a common goal: helping each child reach their full potential. From the moment I stepped into the building, I was met with kindness and a welcoming atmosphere, and I couldn't be more excited to be part of such an incredible team.
